Batman: The Ride is a steel inverted coaster built by Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, located at Six Flags Magic Mountain near Santa Clarita, California. The original version of this layout debuted on May 9, 1992, at Six Flags Great America, making it the prototype for an entire class of suspended coasters — clones under the same Batman branding were subsequently installed across multiple Six Flags parks worldwide. Riders sit in over-the-shoulder harnesses with legs dangling freely as the train navigates loops, corkscrews, and tight helixes at speed. It remains a benchmark inverted coaster experience, accessible enough for first-time inversion riders yet physically demanding throughout.
