Three Revolution Exhibition

The Three Revolution Exhibition is a sprawling museum complex in northern Pyongyang, purpose-built to propagate the North Korean state ideology through the lens of ideological, technological, and cultural transformation — the three revolutions formulated by Kim Il-sung in the 1970s. The complex consists of several thematic pavilions in monumental socialist architectural style, set within a landscaped park. Access for foreign visitors is restricted to state-organized guided tours; the exhibits are designed primarily for North Korean citizens and present a strictly regime-aligned narrative of national achievement. As a rare example of an actively operating propaganda museum, it offers outside observers one of the few direct windows into how the DPRK constructs its own national identity.
