The A9 is a Latvian national main road stretching approximately 200 kilometres from the capital Riga to the port city of Liepāja, Latvia's third-largest city, continuing as the A11 beyond. Carrying around 5,000 vehicles per day as of 2010, it is one of Latvia's busier intercity routes. It holds no touristic, cultural or architectural significance of its own.
