A6 autostrada

The Autostrada A6 is a toll-free motorway ring of roughly 30 kilometres that bypasses Szczecin from west to east, continuing from the German A11 coming from Berlin. Its alignment follows a 1930s Reichsautobahn route; a modernisation programme launched in 1996 was not completed until 2020, delayed after several construction contracts were terminated due to contractor insolvency. For travellers it is a purely functional transit route with no visitor-facing attractions.
