Büchen railway station

Büchen railway station is a wedge-shaped junction station in the municipality of Büchen, Schleswig-Holstein, where the Berlin–Hamburg and Lübeck–Lüneburg lines have crossed since its opening in 1851. The unusual keil (wedge) track layout is a direct result of this historic crossing geometry. Over 4,000 passengers board or alight daily, making it a regionally significant interchange point in northern Germany's rail network. A bus stop in front of the station building connects to surrounding villages.
