Itzehoe station
Itzehoe station is a passenger and freight stop on the Marschbahn, the line running from Hamburg-Altona via Elmshorn toward Westerland on the island of Sylt — electrification ends here, making the station a de facto boundary between electric long-distance services and diesel-operated regional trains heading into western Schleswig-Holstein. The station building and its outbuildings are listed as a protected cultural monument under Schleswig-Holstein heritage law, though detailed construction records are not widely documented.
