Akkeshi Station

Akkeshi Station is a small stop on the Senmo Line in eastern Hokkaido, opened in 1917 during the Taisho period. It serves the coastal town of Akkeshi, best known for its oyster farming and the nearby Akkeshi Bay wetlands. The station is a modest example of the wooden rural station architecture typical of Hokkaido's early railway expansion.
