Kawagoe Station is a stop on the Kawagoe Line operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East), located in Kawagoe city, Saitama Prefecture. Opened in 1915 during the Taisho era, it functions primarily as a commuter station serving traffic between Kawagoe and the greater Tokyo area. Kawagoe itself is famed as 'Little Edo' for its preserved Kura warehouse district and temple grounds, and the station serves as one of several entry points to the city.
