Morioka Station

Morioka Station opened in 1890 during the Meiji era as part of the Tōhoku Main Line, making it the primary rail hub of Iwate Prefecture ever since. Today it serves both Shinkansen lines — the Tōhoku and Akita routes — alongside regional trains, functioning as the main interchange between Tokyo and northern Honshū. No distinctive architectural or cultural features are documented beyond its role as a transit node.
