Ballon Generali

Also known as: Ballon de Paris Generali, Paris Balloon

The Ballon de Paris in Parc André-Citroën has been lifting visitors 150 metres above the city since 1999. It serves a double purpose: as a tourist attraction offering panoramic views across Parisian rooftops, and as an environmental monitor — the balloon changes colour from green to red according to current air quality readings. More than half a million people have made the ascent in its first decade.
