Barmstedt

Barmstedt is a small town in southern Schleswig-Holstein and the smallest municipality in the Pinneberg district. It was historically known as a shoemaking town, with the cobbler's trade shaping local identity for generations. Since August 2011 it holds the official designation of a state-recognized recreational resort (Erholungsort), reflecting its quiet location along the Krückau river and the surrounding countryside. It is an unassuming North German small town with little tourist infrastructure.
