St. Paul's Basilica
Church BuildingCatholicParish Church+1
The Basilica di Sant'Andrea Apostolo is a Roman Catholic parish church of the Diocese of Tivoli, holding the honorary title of Basilica minor. Built in the late 18th century in the Neoclassical style, its restrained facade and symmetrical proportions reflect the disciplined aesthetic that followed the Baroque era in central Italy. The church sustained war damage during World War II and was reconstructed by 1952, largely preserving its original classical structure. It offers visitors a quiet counterpoint to the ancient Roman ruins scattered around the area of Alba Fucens.
