Église Saint-Nicolas

Église Saint-Nicolas is a Roman Catholic parish church in Geneva, built in 1861 in a classicist style and dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Myra. It was erected at a time when Geneva's Catholic community — long a minority in this historically Calvinist city — was gradually reasserting its presence in the urban fabric. The church's restrained, symmetrical classicist design sets it clearly apart from the Gothic revival architecture more common in the region.
