Basilica of St. Teresa

The Basilica of Santa Teresa is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in central Caracas, dedicated jointly to Teresa of Ávila and Saint Anne. Its baroque church fabric is protected as a national cultural monument, placing it among a small group of Venezuela's colonial-era religious buildings with that designation. The church draws particular devotional significance from its veneration of the Nazarene of San Pablo, a Christ statue that has anchored local pilgrimage traditions for generations. Visitors find an actively used parish church embedded in the historic city center, its interior maintaining a quiet, contemplative character despite the surrounding urban bustle.
