The Crime Museum

A private collection inside New Scotland Yard - since 1874 the Metropolitan Police has gathered memorabilia from London worst criminal cases: Jack the Ripper files, the hangman noose, the mask of Doctor Crippen. Known until the early 21st century as the Black Museum, it is open only to police officers and rare scholarly visits - not to the public.
