Bois-de-Coulonge Park
Parc du Bois-de-Coulonge is a 24-hectare public park in Québec's Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge borough, its grounds entangled with colonial history since the mid-17th century. The estate was home to Spencerwood, the official residence of Québec's lieutenant-governors — until a fire in 1966 gutted the manor house entirely, and it was never rebuilt. That absence gives the park an unusual quality: manicured gardens and centuries-old trees surround what is essentially a ghost footprint of one of the province's most significant residences. The Villa Bagatelle, a Victorian-era cottage on the park's edge, is the sole surviving historic structure from the estate's peak years. The grounds are freely open to the public, with walking paths along the Grande Allée.
