Dublin central bus station from 1953 in post-war modernist style, a stop on the Luas Red Line

Busáras is Dublin central intercity bus station and the headquarters of Bus Éireann. The building was constructed between 1946 and 1953 in the International Modern style and stands on Store Street near Connolly Station. It is officially named after Seán Mac Diarmada — one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising — and is a protected landmark. The ground floor serves intercity buses to all regions of Ireland, while the upper floors house the Irish Department of Social Protection. Busáras is also a stop on the Luas Red Line.
