Campo Pequeno

Campo Pequeno is a functional stop on Lisbon Metro's Yellow Line (Linha Amarela), sitting beneath the intersection of Avenida da República and Avenida de Berna. It opened on 29 December 1959 as one of eleven stations launched simultaneously — the entire Lisbon metro network going live in a single day, an unusually complete inaugural rollout for a European capital. The station connects Saldanha and Entre Campos, taking its name from the square above, which is dominated by the Neo-Moorish bullring built in 1892. The stop itself has no step-free access and no notable interior design.
