CIA Memorial Wall

The CIA Memorial Wall in the lobby of the Original Headquarters Building in Langley, Virginia, is the central memorial of the Central Intelligence Agency to officers killed in the line of duty. Since its dedication in 1974 each death is marked by a star carved into the white marble wall; the identities listed in the Book of Honor beneath remain anonymous in many cases where the operation is still classified. The wall is not open to the public - CIA headquarters is restricted and accessible only to staff and invited delegations. Images of the wall appear annually during the May memorial ceremony and in official CIA publications.
