CIA Museum

Washington, D.C.

The CIA Museum is located inside Central Intelligence Agency headquarters in Langley, Virginia, and is not open to the public. It holds around 600 objects on the history of American foreign intelligence, including Cold War spy gear, items from the 2011 bin Laden operation and oddities such as the Insectothopter dragonfly drone and the Charlie robot catfish. Because the campus is closed to outsiders, the CIA has run a virtual version since the 2000s with high-resolution images and explanatory text for the main exhibits. For most people the online tour is the only way to see the collection.
