Energeticon

Energeticon is an interactive experience museum opened in September 2014 on the grounds of the former Grube Anna II colliery, once part of the Eschweiler Bergwerks-Verein mining operation in the Wurm coalfield near Alsdorf. Three preserved industrial heritage buildings — the smithy, the winding-engine house of the Eduard shaft, and the miners' bathhouse — form the museum complex, all original structures from the Aachen coalfield's peak era. Exhibits trace the history of coal mining and energy production through hands-on displays aimed at visitors of all ages. An outdoor sculpture park links the industrial past with contemporary art.
