Goodrich Memorial Library

The Goodrich Memorial Library occupies a Romanesque Revival stone building on Main Street in downtown Newport, Vermont, completed in 1899. Its rounded arches and heavy masonry facade make it one of the most architecturally distinct structures in Orleans County. As the county's only full-time public library, it serves as a community anchor — hosting reading groups, school visits, and public programs. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to operate as a working library in its original form.
