Karadere Creek

The Karadere is a mountain creek in northeastern Turkey, flowing through the provinces of Gümüşhane and Trabzon before emptying into the Black Sea. In antiquity it bore the Greek name Hyssos, a relic of the ancient Pontic Greek settlements that once lined this stretch of coastline.
