Blackadder Water

Blackadder Water is a river in the Scottish Borders council area, winding through open moorland and pasture. Its name most likely derives from 'Blackwater', a reference to the dark peaty colouring the water picks up from the boggy terrain along its upper course. The river is used for fishing and informal walking but has no developed tourist facilities.
