Marine Corps Base Quantico

Marine Corps Base Quantico is one of the largest US Marine Corps installations, sprawling across 255 square kilometers near Fredericksburg, Virginia. Active since 1917, it is the Corps' premier training hub and also houses the FBI Academy and Officer Candidates School. A replica of the Iwo Jima War Memorial greets visitors at the gate. The publicly accessible National Museum of the Marine Corps, with its distinctive tilted glass mast visible from Interstate 95, tells the story of the Corps since 1775. Admission is free; exhibits include original vehicles, aircraft, and immersive recreations of battles at Iwo Jima, Khe Sanh, and Fallujah.
