Movila Hotar

Movila Hotar — Romanian for roughly 'border mound' — is a low hill near Histria on Romania's Black Sea coast, in the historically layered Dobrogea region. The surrounding steppe-like flatlands make even modest rises into natural vantage points over the coastal landscape. Whether the mound is an ancient burial tumulus, common throughout this region, or simply a topographic boundary marker remains unconfirmed without further documentation.
