Young V&A

The Young V&A in London's Bethnal Green is the Victoria and Albert Museum's childhood branch. Built in 1872 and Grade-II listed, the Victorian shed is a triple cast-iron nave clad in polychrome brick, originally part of the South Kensington Museum. Known as the Museum of Childhood until 2023, it reopened after a full redesign as a curated space for children up to 14. The collection holds one of the world's largest dolls' house and toy assemblies, plus board games, prams, children's clothing, and digital games. Open-make studios, hands-on stations, and a central performance stage now invite visitors to build, dress up, and play. Admission is free.
