Omaha Civic Auditorium

The Omaha Civic Auditorium was a multipurpose convention and entertainment complex that opened in 1954 in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, replacing the Ak-Sar-Ben Coliseum as the city's largest such venue. For six decades it hosted sports teams, political rallies, and concerts before newer arenas gradually drew away its tenants. The last events were held in June 2014, and the building was demolished in 2016. Nothing remains on the site today — it survives only as a reference point in the city's postwar urban history.
