Orgelbaumuseum Schloss Hanstein

The Orgelbaumuseum Schloss Hanstein in Ostheim vor der Rhön, Lower Franconia, is one of the few museums in Germany dedicated exclusively to the history of organ building. Founded in 1993, it presents the craft from historical pipe work and specialized tools to documents tracing regional organ-building traditions across centuries. The collection is housed in the Hanstein manor, a modest baroque estate whose understated setting suits the museum's scholarly focus. Visitors with an interest in church music, instrument-making history, or historic craftsmanship will find an unusually concentrated resource on a rarely spotlighted trade.
