Seilbahnen Thale Erlebniswelt

Perched above the steep Bode valley in the Harz mountains, Seilbahnen Thale Erlebniswelt is a witch-themed hilltop amusement park reached by gondola or chairlift. The site sits on the Hexentanzplatz — the 'witches' dance floor' — a plateau steeped in local legend as the gathering place of witches on Walpurgis Night (April 30th). At the top, visitors find a toboggan run, a bobsleigh track, and witch-themed attractions alongside sweeping panoramic views into the Bodetal gorge below. The combination of cable car ride, open mountain scenery, and family-friendly rides makes it a popular half-day outing; one of the gondola cars features a glass floor panel for a direct look straight down the valley.
