St. Johannes Bosco

St. Johannes Bosco is a Roman Catholic parish church in Unterpfaffenhofen, a district of Germering west of Munich, built around 1950 and consecrated in 1956. It is named after Don Bosco, the Italian priest canonized in 1934 and patron saint of youth, whose Salesian order strongly influenced Catholic community building in postwar Bavaria. The church was established during a period of rapid suburban growth in the Munich metropolitan area. It remains an active parish church today and is fully wheelchair accessible.
