Turgenev Library

The Turgenev Library — formally Библиотека-читальня им. И. С. Тургенева — is a public lending and reading library in Moscow named after the 19th-century Russian novelist Ivan Turgenev, whose works such as "Fathers and Sons" shaped the canon of Russian prose. As one of Moscow's older public libraries, it traces its roots to the late tsarist era's push to widen literary access beyond the educated elite. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday until 8 p.m., it offers free Wi-Fi and functions as a quiet reading refuge for students and locals alike.
