Aachen Central Train Station

Aachen Central Station is the city's largest railway hub and a listed Art Nouveau building from around the turn of the 20th century, its ornate curved facade standing in clear contrast to postwar utilitarian stations. It occupies a genuinely distinctive role in European rail geography: as Germany's westernmost ICE stop, it serves international connections including the Eurostar service running from Dortmund via Cologne and Brussels to Paris Nord. The regional RE 18 Dreiländerzug links Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands in a single commuter route — a legacy of cross-border Euregio cooperation. The station is fully wheelchair accessible.
