Alterlaa

Alterlaa is a station on Vienna's U6 metro line, located in the 23rd district of Liesing on an elevated viaduct above Anton-Baumgartner-Straße. It opened in 1979 as part of the rapid tram line 64 and was progressively rebuilt into a full metro station by 1995 as Vienna expanded its underground network southward. The elevated position offers open views over the low-rise southern suburbs toward Liesing and Perchtoldsdorf. The station is wheelchair-accessible and operated by Wiener Linien.
