About Enschede

Enschede lies in the eastern Netherlands, close to the German border in the province of Overijssel, and is the largest city in the Twente region with a population of around 160,000. Once a major centre of the textile industry, the city today is home to a lively university scene and a range of cultural attractions, including Museum Enschedé, the Sint-Georgiuskerk, and a notable Carillon.
