About Jūrmala

Jūrmala is a popular seaside resort on Latvia's Baltic coast, situated roughly 25 kilometres west of Riga along the Gulf of Riga. Home to around 52,000 residents, the city stretches along an extensive sandy shoreline backed by pine forests. It is well known for its distinctive late-19th-century wooden villas and spa traditions. Among the local points of interest are the Zīmuļu parks, the Globe, and the Asaru kapu kapliča chapel, making the city a relaxed destination for both day-trippers and longer stays.
