About Constance

Constance sits on the western shore of Lake Constance in southwestern Germany, directly on the Swiss border. With roughly 85,000 inhabitants it is the largest city on the lake. Its old town survived the Second World War largely intact. Visitors can explore the Kindlebildkapelle, Stiegeler Park, and Galerie Ernst, among other spots. The Gemeinschaftsgarten Bismarcksteig offers a community green space, the Partnerschaftssäule marks international ties, and the Bahnhofs-Clockenturm remains a recognisable landmark near the station.
