The Konstanz Rhine Bridge spans the Seerhein — the short outflow connecting Lake Constance to the Rhine — linking Konstanz's city centre with the Petershausen district. Built in 1938, the steel structure is a combined road and railway bridge, carrying the single-track Hochrheinbahn alongside several lanes of the Konzilstrasse. Its one distinctive curiosity: the bridge marks the official start of Rhine kilometre measurement, Rhine-kilometre 0 begins here. A shared-use cycle path runs along the downstream side, making it a practical daily crossing for cyclists and pedestrians alike.
