Mechinagar is a municipality in the Jhapa District of Nepal's southeastern Terai region, situated close to the Indian border. With a population of approximately 57,500, it is one of the larger urban centres in this fertile lowland area. Points of interest include the Dharagola View Tower, the Sano Pathibhara shrine, Santoshi Mandir, and Kali Maa Mandir.
