Mendi is the capital of Southern Highlands Province in the highlands of Papua New Guinea, situated at roughly 1,700 metres above sea level. It serves as a key administrative and commercial hub for the surrounding region. Local points of interest include the Kagua Marketplace, the Mangani Bridge, and several active congregations such as the AOG Church, Yanagini Lutheran Church, United Church Hiri Circuit, and the Kendort and Wapis SDA churches.
