About Ocotepeque

Nueva Ocotepeque is a small city in western Honduras and the capital of the Ocotepeque department, situated close to the borders with both Guatemala and El Salvador. Home to around 23,000 people, it serves as a calm administrative hub set among rolling hills. Visitors can explore the Parque Central San Ignacio, the viewpoints of Loma del Agua Zarca, Cerro Peñasco Blanco, and Loma La Llorona, as well as the Parque Central de Sensenti, the Iglesia de Santa Rosa Guachipilín, and Foto Arte Estudio.
