Pau is a city in south-western France, located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department at the northern edge of the Pyrenean foothills. Home to around 80,000 inhabitants, it is one of the main urban centres of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The city is widely known as the birthplace of King Henry IV of France and for its views toward the Pyrenees. Local points of interest include Le Foirail, a venue hosting performances and cinema, along with several churches such as Saint-Pierre and Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
