About Polonne

Polonne is a city in Khmelnytskyi Oblast in north-western Ukraine, home to roughly 20,000 people. Situated along the Huzulka river, a tributary of the Sluch, the city retains a number of historic religious monuments: the Trinity Church and the Church of St Nicholas the Miracle-Worker are prominent local landmarks, while the Orzhevsky family crypt church and an Ohel bear witness to the town's former Jewish community. The District House of Culture serves as a central venue for community life, and the nearby settlement of Poninka adds to the area's character.
