Satun
Satun is a provincial capital in the far southwest of Thailand, situated close to the Malaysian border. Home to around 23,000 people, the city has a distinct Malay-Muslim cultural character and serves as a calm base for exploring the surrounding coastline. Nearby points of interest include the fishing village of Pak Bara, the headland Laem Chorakhe, and the Gray Sandy Beach. The Bo Chet Luk well and the La-ngu Local Museum offer a glimpse into local heritage, making Satun a quieter alternative to Thailand's better-known southern destinations.
