Tongliao is a city in eastern Inner Mongolia, People's Republic of China, situated at approximately 43.6° N and 122.3° E. With a population of nearly three million, it is one of the most populous urban centres in the region and a significant hub for the Mongolian population within China. The city lies on the Horqin grassland, bordered by the Xiliao River. Surrounding areas such as Dalin, Qianjiadian, and Yuliangpu Town form part of the broader municipal territory, reflecting the region's mixed urban and rural character.
