About Chaoyang

Chaoyang is a city of nearly three million people in Liaoning Province, northeastern China. The area is internationally recognised for its remarkable fossil record: the 朝阳鸟化石国家地质公园 (Chaoyang Bird Fossil National Geopark) preserves Cretaceous-era bird fossils of global scientific importance. The city is served by the 朝阳市客运中心 long-distance bus terminal, while the district of 北票 and the temple 圣佑宫 are among the local points of interest.
