The D-20 is a Soviet 152.4 mm gun-howitzer introduced into Red Army service in 1953 and designated M1955 by NATO after Western observers first spotted it at a parade in 1955. It served as a standard heavy artillery piece across Soviet and Warsaw Pact forces well into the Cold War era. This example is preserved as a memorial in Kremenchuk, offering a close-up look at mid-20th-century Soviet artillery engineering.
