Rinaghju

The Alignement de Renaggiu is a prehistoric megalithic stone row on Corsica, protected as a classified French historical monument. The standing menhirs lay hidden for centuries beneath dense maquis scrubland before being uncovered through archaeological clearance. Situated roughly 400 metres south of the Stantari alignment and the Fontanaccia dolmen, the site forms part of a wider concentration of Neolithic or early Bronze Age monuments whose precise ritual function remains debated. Visitors encounter the stones with virtually no tourist infrastructure, surrounded by the fragrant Corsican maquis — an unmediated encounter with one of the Mediterranean's lesser-known megalithic landscapes.
