Ardière

The Ardière is a roughly 30-kilometre river in the Département Rhône, rising near Les Ardillats in the Beaujolais hills and joining the Saône as a right-bank tributary at Taponas. It passes through the heart of the Beaujolais wine region but remains an unassuming waterway with no marked trails, promenades, or visitor facilities. Local anglers use its quieter stretches, set against the rolling vineyard landscape characteristic of the area.
