Burrs Country Park Halt
Steam LocomotiveDay Trip Destination
Bad Doberan station sits at kilometre 40.9 of the Wismar–Rostock line and is listed as a protected monument in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Its main draw is its role as the starting point of the Bäderbahn Molli, one of Germany's few remaining narrow-gauge railways still running scheduled steam services. Operating since the late 19th century on a 900 mm gauge, the Molli famously threads through the streets of Bad Doberan's town centre before reaching the Baltic coastal resorts of Heiligendamm and Kühlungsborn. For families and railway enthusiasts, boarding here offers a rare taste of Imperial-era seaside rail travel that has survived intact into the present day.
